In freeware inventory software ('Implementation-related limitations of storage networks') we discussed
that storage pooling across several storage devices from various manufacturers in many
cases limited. The main reason for this is the incompatibility of the device drivers for
various disk subsystems. In the further course we showed how virtualisation
in the storage network can help to overcome these incompatibilities and, in addition,
further increase the efficiency of the storage pooling.
